JANUARY

  • ArtLight Global launched their first workshop with the 8th grade students of the Parikrma Humanity Foundation!  Students explored mathematical concepts of ratios, estimation, and scale in the creation of their self-portraits.   

FEBRUARY

  • MINDFULNESS THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY
    ArtLight Global is holding a mindfulness and photography workshop with award winning photographer Nitesh Batra. The workshop will explore mindfulness through photography, and no prior experience in photography is required.

APRIL

  • Make and Take:  Experimental Printmaking

    Come and play with Kate Fitzpatrick who will be presenting a workshop in printmaking techniques.  Participants will get a chance to create their own designs on paper!  Together, we'll explore the art of print through relief and monotype techniques.  Kate will provide a short presentation on printmaking and demonstrations.  The rest of the time is for experimenting, exploring and studio time!  Come learn the differences between these two mediums and learn some techniques you can try on your own.  It's simple and fun! All are welcome!

AUGUST

  • PRESERVING YOUR OWN BACKYARD:  A WORKSHOP ON DESIGN, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND SUSTAINABILITY 
    ArtLight Global will be partnering with the Parikrma Humanity Foundation on a workshop for their 10th grade students on how to reduce, reuse, and recycle and preserve their own backyards.  Students will be designing products using waste found in their neighborhoods and selling the products to support their education.
    • Education Topics:  STEM and  URBAN DESIGN
    • Key Concepts:   Environmental Science, Geography, Industrial Science, Drawing, and Design
    • Lead Instructor:  Sameena Sitabkhan
